Miami
No, we’re just thinking of the giant theme parks like Disney World. Miami is one of the most kid-friendly destinations in the world thanks to its animal parks and museums. Start off your family vacation with a day at Zoo Miami. It’s one of the oldest and largest zoos in Florida, and it offers a safe yet incredible experience being near all their favorite animals! Elephants, lions, zebras – you name it, it’s at Zoo Miami! If that’s not enough for your little animal lovers, then Miami Seaquarium is a perfect next stop. Here, they can encounter some amazing marine animals. Want to treat them to an experience they will never forget? Pay for a dolphin encounter at the aquarium, where they can even shake hands with the new-found friends.
If your children want to splash around in the hot weather, then they will love Flamingo Park. where there is a kids’ splash area for them to monkey about in! Have a sports fan in the family? Then catching a game at Marlins Park is the best way to wrap up the trip!
Riviera Maya
Riviera Maya in Mexico is a stunning getaway for all the family. It has everything you could want from a vacation – turquoise waters, sandy shores and lush green scenery that will even have the kids in awe! There are some kid-friendly resorts where you can stay, allowing you to travel to paradise while ensuring that the kids have fun too! They even have kids’ zones where they can make new friends and take part in activities. For example, Barcelo Maya Colonial is an incredible resort suitable for all ages. They have clubs for younger children and teens, and plenty of activities for you to do with the whole family. They have tennis courts, water parks and swimming pools.
Have a few little daredevils? Xplor Park will allow you all to explore the jungles of Playa del Carmen, and slide down a few water slides while you’re at it! A trip to the circus will be in order, so make sure you have tickets to the Cirque du Soleil Joya, with a dining option so you can enjoy a delicious meal while watching the amazing show!
Disneyland Paris
Of course Disneyland Paris, the most magical place on Earth, was going to make our list! Climb up to the top of the iconic pink princess castle to admire the view across the park. Your little princes and princesses can meet the cast and watch parades with all their favorite characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Discover each different universe and try out all the rides. Your kids will love the thrilling Space Mountain, flying high with Dumbo or going on a journey on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Stop off at the restaurants for a tasty treat before crossing over to have even more fun at the Walt Disney Studios Park.
The Walt Disney Studios Park is ideal for the bigger thrill-seekers in the family. The Finding Nemo ride will be perfect for the younger rollercoaster lovers, or Ratatouille for a Parisian touch. Feeling brave? Then try out the Hollywood Tower for a spooky experience!
Yosemite National Park
If your kids love the great outdoors, then Yosemite National Park will spellbind them! They’ll love racing around the park while taking in the incredible scenery. They can join a ranger program and once completed, they can be sworn in as a junior ranger – it will really help them feel part of the park life. There are plenty of activities for them to enjoy! Every winter, there is an ice rink where they can perfect their moves and show off their skills. No other ice rink will have the view you will have! Go to Glacier Point and get a panoramic view of the park. If your children are a little older, then you can even attempt the hike up there.
In the summer months, the little ones will love splashing in the Merced River. You can even get a raft and discover the river in another way. This is only possible in summer as the rapids are dangerously quicker in the winter months.
Bali
Whether you’re a big kid or you’re travelling to the beautiful Bali with your little ones, you’ll find lots of activities to keep you all busy! Yes, Bali is full of luxurious hotels, infinity pools and striking scenery, but we know that’s not always enough to keep the kids entertained. If you are travelling with water babies, help them gain confidence by letting them attend the Rip Curl School of Surf. They can practice water sports in the turquoise waters with the Little Rippers’ hour course, especially created for youngsters under 13 years of age. If wakeboarding is more their thing, then Bali Wake Park will allow them to practice their tricks, you’ll be impressed by what they have learnt!
Butterflies are amazing creatures, and if you’re as fascinated with them as we are, the Kemenuh Butterfly Park. You can admire 500 species of butterflies in a beautiful flowering garden from right up close. For smaller kids, Tamora Gallery is an amazing free park where they can roam and make the most of the fun activities, such as face painting.
Crete
The island of Crete is the ideal destination for a family vacation. Its biggest appeal is its turquoise waters, so your kids will love hitting the water! Why is it one of the best kid-friendly destinations? You can enjoy a scuba diving session as a family with one of the many scuba diving centers. Take a visit to the Aquaworld Aquarium, where your children can discover pythons, crocodiles and giant tortoises. You can experience a hands-on interaction with the animals, who have been either rescued or were injured before finding their forever home at Aquaworld Aquarium. Another thing you can do to celebrate Crete’s beautiful waters is to get a glass bottom boat ride around the island.
While in Crete, believe it or not, you can walk with dinosaurs! It is a sculpture park home to dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals that will have your little ones in awe.
Brittany
Brittany is an amazing region on the north west coast of France, with impressive landscapes and historical monuments galore. It truly is one of the best kid-friendly destinations in the world, and in France! Of course, being situated on the coast, your little ones can practice surfing, or you can go on a family kayaking session. Just head over to your nearest beach and hit the waves! If they love discovering sea-life, then Océanopolis is Brittany’s best aquarium. Just outside of Brest, the open-air aquarium boasts over 1000 different species and 10,000 different animals. Be in awe over the penguins, seals and even polar bears! You can even go deep-sea diving if you really want to embrace the experience.
If you’re feeling adventurous, then Adrenaline Forest will be your next stop! This treetop playground in Rennes has a zip line for you to slide along and enjoy the scenery. If they love the times of King Arthur and Merlin, then La Porte des Secrets in Paimpont will get them ever so excited! They’ll love the interactive displays and shadow puppets illustrating the fairytale atmosphere.
Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight is one of the most perfect kid-friendly destinations for tweens that love to keep active and appreciate beach life. Explore the beaches such as Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor. Shanklin Beach is a stunning place to kick back and relax about a long day of seeing the sights. The beach huts give the beach a certain charm, and the island’s quaint streets look like something straight out of a postcard. Warwick Castle can provide a real outdoor adventure, enjoy the reenactments and guided tours around the region’s most iconic castles. You can see almost 1300 species, and admire the ruins of the castle.
